Views in June

The trees at Cherry Tree Arboretum were growing well at the start of June and looked splendid in the sunshine.

Azaleas on display

On May 11th the Cherry Tree Arboretum had an open day as part of the National Garden Scheme to raise funds for Macmillan Nurses. It was a beautiful sunny day and the azaleas (and rhododendrons) were in full bloom in the sunshine.

Magnolias blooming for NGS

Cherry Tree Arboretum had an open day on Saturday April 6th as part of the National Garden Scheme to raise funds for Macmillan Nurses. The magnolia trees were in bloom and made the open day an unforgettable experience.

The Magnolia for April

Magnolia Vulcan has an intense colour and is one of the darkest red Magnolias. Its large, cup-shaped blooms, produced before the leaves appear, are breathtaking.

Magnolia of the month

Today was a wet day at Cherry Tree Arboretum, but Magnolia Aurora stole the show. It must be the plant of the month.
